Meeting with Joan Tower @ CIM
a humorous and energetic composer, working with groups of well-known musicians . . . just don’t know why she forgets some important details about her “old” piece in the 70s, Amazon, which is kind of under the influence of Messiaen during 1970s/80s . . . but she hasn’t mentioned much in the Q/A section . . . i guess . . . she is a composer always looking forward . . . an interesting experience meeting with an important composer in the America.
