Finally, it was done! I am so tired, of course she must be more tired than me. When we arrived home, her fingers and legs were cramp.
It is always a super heart-beating moment when I am watching her live performance.
According to lovely Rebecca, there were 43 ppl came. Although this was not a great no. of audience, there were 8 faculty members among the audience (originally 9, one got an immediate rehearsal with Buffalo Philharmonic Orch, so he could not come): wwy’s teacher, flute teacher, cello teacher, voice teacher, vocal coach, orchestra conductor, department chair, and her (set and Schenkerian) theory teacher (also my dissertation advisor).
I can see some of them were moving their arms and nodding their heads while she was playing Chopin Barcarolle and Schubert sonata. I think one of the excited moments/achievements was bringing out Schoenberg’s Op. 11 nicely [a praise by a well-known Schoenberg scholar is definitely a great encouragement/reward!!!]
